SEL Strategic Action Plan

One of our professional development goals is creating an SEL Strategic Action Plan (SSAP) artifact. It provides a structured approach for educators and parents to understand the dynamics of students’ environments—home, school, and community. Identifying and acting on risk factors while strengthening protective factors can help prevent negative behaviors from escalating and promote positive development.

Our model’s focus on the collaboration between family and school is key to building a strong, supportive community. When these two pillars work together, they create a unified front, addressing both risk factors and promoting protective factors that benefit students holistically. This partnership can lead to improved academic, social, and emotional outcomes for students, while also fostering a sense of belonging and well-being within the broader community.

Our workshops provide a structured and practical approach for participants to assess and address critical areas affecting family and school through the SWOT analysis. By incorporating SEL strategies to address vulnerabilities, you ensure a well-rounded approach to developing the SSAP.
